Foundation Myrrh is raised in 2005 with the intention of helping children and people who are living in difficult circumstances due to poverty, war, violence etc. After being working in Gaza for some time people asked for helping children in this region. Altough the difficult political situation we are convinced that help is necessary and possible. Our idea is to focus on children, being the adults of the future. Our dream is that these children are able to live in peace and under circumstances that are so common for us (in the Netherlands). We believe that children all over the World are basicly the same. Its up to us, adults, to work on a World that bring positive chances for these children. To realize this we need courage but especially it needs people to be meek, merciful, with thirst for righteousness, pure in heart, and peacemakers as it is stated in the Bible in Matthew 5. Up to now Foundation Myrrh has two projects in Gaza: Helping children of the UNRWA Elementry School Al Zaitun (the Olive) These are children (refugees) out of the most poor parts of Gaza-city. We try to bring direct help like clothes, glasses, materials for school, schooltrips, materials for sports, clean drinking water, etc. Also we realized direct contact between the children in Gaza and children in the Netherlands. Children communicate about various subjects. See www.kidsincontact.nl Helping children of the Christian Elementry School Lighthouse School These are also children out of poor areas in Gaza. This is a new school and we try to help them with books, etc. Foundation Myrrh also supports children and other people with two other projects: Fresh drinking water for 20 villages in Burkina Faso In the region of BAM 20 water pumps will be repaired. Also the maintenance of the pumps will be taken care of. Project Homebuilding Doboj, Bosnia Bosnia still suffers from the war. Especially for children, elder people and poor families its hard to renew their lives. Every year about 20 youngsters from the Netherlands visit Doboj to build and
